This new event offers visitors of all ages the chance to explore, experience, create, and celebrate across WheatonArts’ 45-acre campus. The event is dedicated to WheatonArts’ mission to engage artists and audiences in an evolving exploration of creativity. WheatonArt’s Resident and Regional Artist Community will share their talents and expertise with our visitors.
With a strong focus on varied hands-on activities with demonstrators who are able to excite, engage, teach, and share the process of their art with the visitor. WheatonARTS Day will offer both free and fee-based activities and experiences of different skill levels that will create lasting memories for those who participate.
Museum of American Glass
Visit the Museum of American Glass to see the current exhibitions Ghost Optics, Portals & Passages, and Transformations: The Wasserstein Collection of Contemporary Glass. Join us for a guided tour, “Highlights of the Museum of American Glass.”
Down Jersey Folklife Center
Visit the Down Jersey Folklife Center to see the current exhibition, Communities and Cultures of Down Jersey. Join us in the Down Jersey Folklife Center for Shikha Dwivedi’s Henna demonstrations. There will also be interactive dance performances by Gunjan Pandya, Indian Bharatanatyam and Folk Dance, and Swati Chaturvedi, Indian Bollywood and Folk Dance.
Artist Demonstrations


Watch the Glass Studio team demonstrate techniques unique to their interests and specialties in hot glass.
Get hands-on with our Glass Studio team by using one of our glass stamps and walk away with your own stamped glass coin. This is a paid activity; $10 per coin.
Submit a bird bath design for our ceramic artists to make! At the end of the day, one adult and one child design will be picked to be reproduced in clay. Join our ceramic artists for a kiln tour.

Community Mural
Join the studio team of artist J. Kenneth Leap for a hands-on Community Mural activity using parachute cloth. Led by Ian Leap and Ferdinand Maloney, this collaborative experience invites participants to create painted elements that will be incorporated into a larger mural.
Baltimore Noisemakers
Participate with the Baltimore Noisemakers by building a one-string “canjo” instrument (limited one per person while supplies last).
Through the instrument-building process, participants investigate concepts such as frequency, resonance, and string tension while developing practical making skills alongside creativity and problem-solving.
Felt Finger Puppets
Enjoy our complimentary Family Art Workshop, Felt Finger Puppets.
Fused Glass Magnet, Pendant, or Suncatcher
Create a fused glass magnet, pendant, or suncatcher in the Education Studio for a discounted fee of $10 per magnet/pendant and $20 per suncatcher.
Outdoor Family Art Activities
Join us for our outdoor Family Art Activities, where you can explore hands-on creativity by making tactile air-dry clay seed mosaics inspired by nature and playful colorful lenses that transform how you see the world.


Music, Food, Shopping, and a Walk Around the Nature Trail

Listen to the fun music stylings of the Tabernacle Reggae Band and join them as they bring the WheatonArts campus to life with interactive dancing.
Grab a bite to eat from the various food trucks that will be on campus during the event.
Participate in a scavenger hunt around the campus.
