Call to Artists!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the related postponement of all artist residencies in 2020 and early 2021, WheatonArts has paused accepting new Fellowship applications. In late 2021 and 2022, we will honor our commitments to the four Fellows originally scheduled for 2020, as well as most artists participating in our 50th Anniversary Visiting Artist Series.

Serving over 355 artists since 1983, WheatonArts, through its Creative Glass Fellowship Program, provides an exceptional opportunity for artists to pursue their creative development in one of the finest glass facilities in the country. During their Fellowships, artists join a creative community and have the use of private studios, receive stipends, technical assistance, comfortable housing, institutional support, and are embraced by a dedicated and warm staff, all on a beautiful 45+ acre campus that is truly a creative sanctuary.

WheatonArts offers three-month Spring residencies and short-term project-based residencies. Only artists who have never been through the program may apply for three-month sessions. Normally, all artists can apply for a short-term, project-based Fellowship to take place during scheduled times within the months of September – December. Creative Glass Fellowship alumni may reapply three years after the conclusion of their previous residency. During WheatonArts 50th anniversary, however, these short-term residencies will be given by invitation only.
