Sophia Emmett has lived and traveled in many parts of Australia and the world, including Papua New Guinea, Palau, Japan and China. After leaving studies in ceramics, Sophia pursued her career in glass and eventually received a 2-1/2 year traineeship at the Jam Factory Craft and Design Center where she gained much of her technical skills and interest in combining images and glass forms. She has been busy producing, exhibiting and selling her own work, and has completed postgraduate studies. She currently runs a successful glass business, gaining a reputation as “an innovative, young, emerging glass artist.”
