Until the mid-1970s my focus was on graphic design. I realigned into making quilts around the Bicentennial, and have never looked back. Quilting is a graphic art except that it is done with fabric instead of paper, and there are infinite options in both design and color. I tend to design my own quilts and sell my patterns through my website, specializing in “mystery quilt” patterns. A mystery quilt is where the maker does not know what the final project will look like until they have nearly completed their quilt top. Suggestions are made for fabric selections, and yardages are given at the beginning of the process.
From time to time I also make small art quilts, which are challenging, and often refer to photographs that I have taken. Look for one or two of them in my booth!
