With roots in illustration, design and fiber arts, I found beading was my ultimate passion. Lucky enough to find related “day jobs”, since 2005 I’ve been an editor in chief, technical editor and illustrator, have videos on Google and YouTube, and am a known bead instructor on television in the US and the UK. My designs have been featured often with tutorials in just about every bead magazine. I am a Master Artisan in the PA Guild of Craftsmen and my local Haverford Guild chapter for whom I am VP of Standards. In 2025 I retired from a decade as Creative Director for a global bead and jewelry making tool distributor, to follow my own path. I maintain my e-commerce web site leslierogalskibeadworks.com, and post on Instagram as leslie_rogalski_beadworks. I call Philadelphia my home.

My day jobs allowed me to grow technically in many materials and techniques. Now I focus on a more personal aesthetic of geometric, minimal, bold statement jewelry. My interest in tribal art, Japanese design and science comes through in my color and shapes, forming dimensional jewelry. Beading is a marathon, not a sprint, and requires focus that is Zen for me. Using needle and thread to stitch hundreds of Japanese and Czech glass beads one bead at a time, beading brings order to chaos, uniting the many into singular works. I want my art to be something enjoyed by both the wearer and viewer.
