I’ve been making and selling my art to people since I was a teenager. Back then, I worked in my bedroom at an old sink cabinet left over from my parents’ kitchen remodel. Many years later, I still love the adventure of learning about new methods and materials and discovering new uses for old things.
Broken china dishes and other vintage items are given a second life after they are shaped and set in sterling silver. A lifelong rock collector, I love finding unusual mineral cabochons and gemstones, as well as the occasional fossil or meteorite, to take to my jeweler’s bench and turn them into wearable art. Enamel and fused glass offer even more opportunities to play with color and texture.
I like to think that all my pieces have stories to tell, whether it’s a pendant made from a fossil or china earrings made from an antique plate!
