I am a lifelong resident of Rhode Island and grew up in North Providence. Although my interest in photography dates back to my childhood, I have recently been able to pursue my passion. Over the last several years, I see the world in a whole new way. I view photography as an opportunity to capture a moment that no one can duplicate. There may be similar pieces, but the elements of light, angles, and the photographer himself, makes each moment in time, unique. I get to capture that moment as I feel it and see it, and my hope is that the viewer feels it as well.
I use the Nikon D3300 and a 7200, nothing fancy but it’s the carpenters’ skill, not the tool that makes the art (although having nice tools is cool as well !), I am inspired daily when I open my natural camera, my eyes, and have the chance to capture the world anew. Many years ago, I had a Yashica camera, and I took a photo of my youngest brother standing on a little footbridge and staring off into space as if in deep thought, while a mist of fog swirled around him. It was that photo, on that day, at that time that inspired my lifelong passion for photography.
