I graduated from Tyler School of Art with a BFA in Jewelry/Cad-Cam and Metalsmithing. I also received a degree in Art Education and was employed as a public school art teacher. Desiring to focus on studio work, however, I decided to embark on a career as an artist while raising a family. It was the best decision I could have made and am happily working in my studio designing and creating wearable objects.

My designs are hand-fabricated, piece by piece, not cast in bulk. Traditional metalsmithing techniques are employed to morph precious metals into finished wearable objects. Pieces begin as raw wire and sheet and are drawn to gauge, hand-cut, patterned using hand tools, rolling mills, and acid etching. They are hand-formed, hard-soldered, and wheel-polished to completion. Several pieces include bezel, prong, and/or gypsy settings. Gemstones, cabochons, and resin are also utilized in my work.
