“My desire to explore our region’s forests, trails, and beaches, searching for inspiration from the earth, is insatiable. Those influences have always been prominent in my work. During the pandemic, spending more time at home than usual, I realized that our living space is filled with vibrant colors and patterns such as Ikat textiles, handwoven rugs, Native American baskets, and a wide range of decorative arts from around the world, and those influences demanded to become a part of the story as well. My most recent work reflects these wide-ranging inspirations.”
