I am a contemporary paper artist creating intricate three-dimensional works that transform flat sheets into sculptural compositions. Each piece begins as a digital design and is built from 8 to 18 individually laser-cut layers, precisely aligned to create depth, shadow, and fine detail. I invite viewers to look closer — and often to touch — revealing that what first appears flat is, in fact, carefully constructed in layers of paper and light. Much of my work reinterprets historical designs, drawing inspiration from periods spanning antiquity and the Middle Ages through to modern art. My work reimagines familiar imagery through a refined, dimensional lens. By blending a deep appreciation for history with contemporary technology, I create pieces that are both rooted in tradition and strikingly original.
