Harry Mayer is a veteran printmaker and founder of Art Veterans Studio, creating hand-pulled relief prints that explore themes of service, resilience, and the human experience within fragile systems. Drawing from a career in the U.S. Navy and federal disaster response, his work reflects moments of quiet tensions where structure, memory, and humanity intersect. His prints have been exhibited in juried shows and galleries throughout the Mid-Atlantic and recognized in national and international exhibitions.

Mayer’s process is rooted in traditional linoleum block printing, often working in reduction or tonal techniques to build depth through shadow and restraint. He frequently prints on handmade paper, including sheets formed from deconstructed military uniforms, embedding material history directly into the work. Through a balance of simplicity and emotional weight, his prints invite reflection on what endures—and what gives way—over time.
