Mid-Winter Antiques Show

Winter Hours -- We will be OPEN Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 10am to 5pm, for the months of January, February and March. Visit the Museum of American Glass FREE of charge. The Artists Studios will be closed during these three months.

Complimentary CHOCOLATE DIPPING & VALENTINE'S CRAFTS -- in the Museum Stores, February 11 and 12, 11am to 4pm. Choose from a variety of goodies to dip your own chocolate treat in the General Store. In the Brownstone make a Lollipop Flower Valentine for people you love. To accompany your valentine, make a Tissue Paper Cupcakes in the Gallery.

"A Garden of Quilts" Show -- Admission $5.00

Crescent Moon Clothing: Trunk Show -- Join us in the Brownstone Emporium Boutique on Saturday 3/17 for a trunk show with designer Gretchen Hulse of Crescent Moon Clothing. From 11am through 4pm Gretchen will visit with a handpicked selection of her newest designs and classic all season separates. Stop in to say hello and check out her "clothes you love to live in".

"A Garden of Quilts" Show

Schoolhouse Rock, Live! at WheatonArts -- A pop culture phenomenon comes to the musical stage. The Emmy Award winning 1970s cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs comes to life with Surflight Theatre, New Jersey Theatre Alliance’s The Stages Festival. Passing the Torch -- A Contemporary Flamework Exhibition in the Gallery of Fine Craft

Paws for Art -- A FREE Community Event. WheatonArts’ Spring schedule opens with “Paws for Art” a day to celebrate dogs and the joy and enrichment they bring to our lives. Created in partnership with the Cumberland County SPCA, this free community day event opens WheatonArts’ gates to humans and dogs alike. Pet owners are invited to bring their dogs onsite to engage in various animal-themed activities including a dog parade, a dog caricaturist, a face painter, book readings, a children’s animal art exhibition, working dog demonstrations and exhibits, pet supplies, animal themed glass making demonstrations, kids activities and animal awareness organizations.

The Fire Continues -- An Invitational of Contemporary American Studio Glass Artists to coincide with the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the American Studio Glass movement.

Paperweight Fest 2012

Paperweight Fest -- Presented in partnership with Delaware Valley PCA. Register for the entire event or for the day.

Figure It Out -- A mixed media show representing work with the Human Form as the subject. Glass, metal, ceramic and two-dimensional works with depictions of the human figure at rest and in motion will be on for show and sale.

Designs for Home -- This mixed media exhibit will showcase various handcrafted accents to add a unique touch to your home. This show and sale will focus on one of a kind designs in lighting, clocks, wall art and accent furniture.

All Gifts Great and Small -- Everything is this Holiday themed show will range from $150. to $1.50. These Handcrafted gift ideas are designed to help you complete your Holiday Gift List without breaking your budget. Fun and Unique gift ideas will include: metal ornaments, garden art, wooden instruments and brightly colored ceramics.

St. Patrick's Celebration in the Museum Shops -- Complimentary Hands-On Fun For All Ages March 10 and 11, 2012 from 11am to 4pm -- Is your St Patrick's Day outfit ready yet? Come make a Lucky St. Patty's Day Shamrock Headpiece in the Brownstone Emporium. Personalize your hat with color, stickers, glitter and tissue paper rainbows. Complete your outfit in The Gallery of Fine Craft by making a Shamrock Necklace. Use recycled puzzle pieces, colorful beads and green ribbon to create the necklace. While wearing this fun, repurposed necklace you are sure to experience the Luck of the Irish. After creating your St Patrick’s Day outfit, dip into something green as you sample the General Store's new all-natural dip and seasoning mixes from Bittersweet Herb Farm in Massachusetts.

Celebration: 50 / Forward June 29, 30 & July 1, 2012 Join us at WheatonArts for a weekend of experimentation and camaraderie in celebration of 50 Years of American Studio Glass with glass artists Paul Marioni, Dick Marquis, Paul Stankard, Hank Adams, Tina Aufiero, Deborah Czeresko, Stephen Paul Day, Jim Harmon, Pike Powers, Matt Szosz, and Mark Zirpel.

The Artistry of Rick Ayotte -- Opens May 31 through October 14 In conjunction with Paperweight Fest 2012 at WheatonArts in Millville, NJ the Museum of American Glass will feature the exhibit "The Artistry of Rick Ayotte."

11th Annual WheatonArts Golf Classic Running Deer Golf Club, Pittsgrove, NJ

FANTASY FAIRE -- A family-friendly festival blending historic fact with myth and popular fantasy from the medieval and Renaissance periods of history. Knights and princesses stand side-by-side with elves and fairies, and the day is filled with performances pleasing to children of all ages. Produced in partnership with Mystic Realms, Ltd.

TRADITIONAL COSTUMES OF THE BALKANS Exhibit -- in the Folklife Center opens June 1

CONFERENCE: Communities and Cultures of the Balkans -- Friday, September 14 - Preregistration is required - The conference is offered as a special professional development opportunity for teachers but it will be open to all willing to attend. The presenting scholars will cover a wide range of topics including comparative studies of the Balkan music and dance, costumes and accessories, aesthetics and symbolism; historical transformations of the Balkan traditions, as well as adaptation of traditional art forms to the contemporary way of life. The preservation of the Balkan cultural heritage in the multi-cultural context of the American society will also be discussed.
