What can you see and do at WheatonArts?

In the Museum of American Glass:

Transformations: The Wasserstein Collection of Contemporary Glass

The Museum of American Glass at WheatonArts is excited to unveil an unprecedented gift of almost 60 artworks selected from the Linda and Henry Wasserstein collection of contemporary glass. The Wasserstein’s generous donation features work by the artists who first transformed glass into a medium for functional, sculptural, and conceptual art, as well as those who are leading the field today. On display in the Museum through December 28, 2025.  LEARN MORE

redundancies, curated by David Schnuckel

Caught in a committed relationship to glass that is as motivated by fluency as it is informed through failure, David Schnuckel’s devotion to technique and the conventions of “doing things well” are prompted by a provocative and equally thoughtful exploration of “(un)doing things well.” The series of artworks in the exhibition are conceptual applications to a vessel-making practice extending from ideas intermingling notions of skill, error, and language. On display in the Museum through December 28, 2025.  LEARN MORE

In the Down Jersey Folklife Center:

Ceremonies in Circles

We all have traditions that we have learned and carry on in our everyday lives, during ceremonies and holidays. They mark important events, such as being born, graduating from school, getting married, and being laid to rest. The multi-cultural landscape of our region offers a rich variety of stories, experiences and practices that have become an integral part of the Down Jersey living traditions and artistic expressions. These are the traditions of our families, friends, neighbors and colleagues and they are all part of our South Jersey home. On display in the Folklife Center through December 28, 2025. LEARN MORE

In the Glass Studio:

Glassmaking Demonstrations

Join us in the Glass Studio to feel the heat and be amazed as artists transform hot, molten glass into beautiful works of art! Meet and greet our team of glass artists as they demonstrate creative glassmaking techniques throughout the day! Demonstrations change daily, from glassblowing to mold pouring. Inspired by the original 1888 T.C. Wheaton Glass Factory, the building holds much of the essence and history of glassmaking in South Jersey and is considered the “heartbeat” of WheatonArts.  LEARN MORE
