ZapGlass is owned by Jieun & Jon Zapiecki. They are a collaborative glass artist couple, working together to create contemporary glass artworks that merge their individual strengths and shared vision. With over three decades of combined experience, their practice bridges traditional and experimental techniques – including glass blowing, kiln-forming, flameworking, and cold working. Their body of work is deeply influenced by natural elements, especially the ever-changing colors of the sky, light, and landscape.

ZapGlass collaborates to create abstract documentation of the sublime beauty of nature using imagery, color, and form in glass. Their work includes inspiration from personal experiences and emotions. They use abstraction as a tool, obscuring known places with color, reconstructing their memories, and creating a new collective understanding. The body of work blends all these separate histories into new reflections of the human experience.
