As a jewelry artist I seek to honor nature as I create with sterling silver and gemstones. Using traditional silversmithing techniques and tools such as a jeweler’s saw, hammer, and torch, allows me to approach my designs with thought and intention, intuitively adding in texture, curves, depth, and dimension. Additionally, little details like a bird’s eye, a cat’s whiskers, or veins on a leaf give the wearer a tangible connection to the natural world and awareness of its beauty grace and whimsy. Like nature, each piece I design and create is one of a kind.

Jewelry is my medium because I love creating a wearable piece of art for people reminding them of what they treasure and value. Nature is ephemeral, each moment temporary but meaningful. Seasons change, a bird alights on a branch before lifting off in flight, a flower blooms, and a cat curls up on your lap, paws kneading. The moment passes but the feeling remains. These are my inspirations taken from moments, observed during hikes in local preserves where I’m surrounded by trees, water, and sky. As an animal lover I share my home with cats and dogs, enjoy bird watching, and horseback riding. The time spent with animals is always so rewarding and worthy of commemoration.
