I am inspired by the beauty and malleability of metals, the surprising range of colors of gemstones, and the desire to create wearable and often whimsical designs. I love to make jewelry that has a narrative: A bird fabricated from sterling silver flies over a gemstone which resembles a cloudy sky, or a deer leaps across a stone that reminds me of a stream. I pair hand-forged creatures with colorful gemstones to create one of a kind pieces. My work is made with traditional metalsmithing techniques and tools in my wooded studio in Bucks County, PA. From my window, I see creatures that show up in my work: deer, foxes, owls and other birds.
