Quilters

National Quilting Association Chapter 541

The Garden Patch Quilt Guild, established in 1986, is a non-profit group of individuals drawn together by a deep interest in the art of quilting and the dedication to promoting it. The membership consists of all levels of ability from beginner to advanced to award-winning artists. The membership varies in areas of expertise including traditional quilting, applique, crazy quilting, wearable art and other types of needle arts and techniques. All members share equally in providing inspiration and encouragement.

Among the charitable activities sponsored by the guild are making preemie quilts for the neonatal units of South Jersey Hospital Regional Medical Center and DYFS, individual quilts for local Habitat for Humanity projects, and gift filled Christmas stockings for DYFS recipients.

The Garden Patch Quilters plan and prepare “A Garden of Quilts” Quilt Show, a joint venture with WheatonArts presented biennially (even years) in March since 1994. There are approximately 200 quilted items on display during the show.
