Jessica Keemer


Jessica Keemer is an award winning studio artist in Lancaster, Pa. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Millersville University and also has a degree in Art Education and a Masters Degree in Environmental Systems Management. She has studied at the New Approach Jewelers School in Virginia Beach, Va. and at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY. Jessica is a PA State-Juried Artist and currently serves as a State Board Member to the PA Guild of Craftsmen. She currently teaches also at the Pa Guild of Craftsmen main office in Lancaster Pa.
The materials she uses in her artwork include borosilicate glass, Sterling silver and 18 k gold. The glass is heated using an oxygen propane torch. She uses either glass rod or tubing to manipulate or blow the glass. Colors are added on to the clear glass to create different designs or effects. Each piece is kiln annealed overnight. All components added to jewelry is hand formed cut and soldered out of sterling silver or 18 k gold. Each piece is then finished.
