I am a 73-yer-old retiree who came to the hobby of wood crafting relatively recently. I was introduced to it by a lifetime friend who is a craftsman beyond compare. In my crafting, I use only hardwoods, some sourced domestically, some from South America, some from Africa and some from more exotic countries. Any colors you see are the natural colors of the species, I use no dyes, no pigments, no stains. The finish applied is one I make from mineral oil, beeswax and carnauba wax and is completely natural and food safe. With proper care, these crafts will last for years and even generations.
