Ghost Optics

In the Museum of American Glass

Visitors to the Museum of American Glass will encounter a site-specific window intervention by guest artist and curator, Jocelyne Prince. Her work, Ghost Optics, addresses early methods of flat glass and bottle glass production. Of particular interest to the artist was the variety of Americana imagery found on the historic glass bottles in the collection. Wanting to source these images as directly as possible, Prince dug into the WheatonArts mold collection and honed in on one particular mold, a flask for spirits, which had an inset for interchangeable emblems.

Each work in this exhibition catalyzes the optical and sculptural space that exists within a sheet of glass. 

Fire Muster

Explore over 80 antique fire trucks from the Mid-Atlantic States on display throughout the WheatonArts campus!  Highlights include water pumping displays of fire hoses into the lake, a Firematic Flea Market, apparatus judging and awards presentation, and the dramatic exit of the fire trucks’ driving off the grounds at the end of the event.

The WheatonArts Golf Classic brings committed golfers together to support the multicultural, multigenerational programs and educational resources offered at Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center located in Millville, NJ.

WheatonArts believes the arts must be an integral part of the education of all citizens, with special emphasis on school-age children as a part of their basic education.
