I am a self-taught wood sculptor who began experimenting with wood at an early age.

Growing up in a family and community where woodworking was common, there was no shortage of inspiration. My inclination, however, was towards sculpting rather than the cut and join of carpentry, because even at such an early age, there was a level of comfort and mastery using a hand tool. As a result, I did not prioritize formal training in this field.

My sculptures are a mix of both functional and decorative. I specialize in working from hardwoods such as Walnut, Black Walnut, Oak, Cherry and Poplar, all American grown woods. Each piece is 100% hand made and is my own design. They are finished with clear Urethane and oils to protect and preserve the wood while revealing the beautiful grains.
