Elizabeth Schappert has been a craft store employee, theatrical costume designer, and a middle school English teacher, though she is currently a jewelry artist who lives and works at the Jersey shore. Those previous occupations, however, influenced her when she began making jewelry more than a decade ago. From them, she discovered her passion for raw materials, the process of creation, and tangible results of hard work. Her work features natural stones, crystals, fossils, and mineral specimens in clean and modern sterling silver settings that are designed to showcase rather than subjugate. She hopes that her jewelry will help initiate conversations and foster connections for its wearers.
