A panel of glass artists whose father or mother (or both) were glass artists, discussing growing up in the glass community and finding one's own motivation and artistic expression. Panelists are Jon Littleton, Dante Marioni, Alex Bernstein, Alicia Lomne and Melissa Ayotte. Panel will be moderated by CGCA board member and artist, Ron Gavigan.

11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Keynote Address: Dan Dailey
“My Origins In Materialism; The Art Movement That Inspired Artists To Work With Glass In The 1960s.” Keynote Speaker Dan Daily will share a personal explanation of his rationale for the MaterialismArt Movement and the need to clarify this movement within the larger context of craft and studio terms that are applied to anything and everything made of glass.
Noon –1:30 p.m. Lunch (Pick-Up) – There will be some free time for shopping at the galleries and the WheatonArts shops, visiting the Museum and/or seeing
the demonstrations.
1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. “So You Want To Be A Curator” Four museum curators will briefly discuss the standards they use when planning an exhibit in their museums. Four collectors will then present a virtual museum exhibit that each has curated, which will be individually critiqued by the curators’ panel. Participating curators: Nicholas Bell (Renwick Gallery); Ron Labaco (Museum of Arts and Design); Diane Wright (formerly,Yale University Art Gallery) and Elizabeth Agro (Philadelphia Museum of Art.) Participating collectors: Harlan Fischer, John Kotelly, Bonnie Roth and Warren Poole. The panel will be moderated by Ulysses Dietz (Newark Museum.)
3:10 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Breakout Sessions
A. Gallery Rising Star Artists Presentations by featured Rising Star Artists
B. Curator/Artist Walks An opportunity to interact with individual museum curators or artists who will lead small groups of collectors through the museum exhibit.
C. Glass Galleries Panel Panel of gallery owners will discuss their history and involvement in the world of contemporary art glass
D. Estate and Gift Planning for Collectors We will all need to know how to navigate the new tax changes affecting our gift and estate planning Fred Sanders, Esq., an experienced tax attorney, will join Frank Maraschiello of Bonhams to lead a presentation on this very relevant topic.
4:10 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Breakout Sessions Repeated

A New Way of Seeing the Work of Paul J. Stankard
Andrew Page, editor-in-chief of GLASS: The UrbanGlass Art Quarterly, will discuss with Stankard the evolution of form in his botanical sculptures as they have developed over his five decade-long career.
