Isa Kollgaard is a contemporary clay artist whose vibrant colors and playful compositions celebrate the beauty of nature and the whimsy of everyday life. Born in Venezuela, she studied in Caracas at Villasmil De Leon School of Design and in New York City at Parsons School of Design. Her artistic process is deeply rooted in exploring various type of clay and decorating techniques. Her pieces are hand built from a slab or coil of paper clay, white clay and red clay. She creates functional and non functional pieces illustrated and painted with colored slip, underglazes and glazes. Each piece is a testament to her dedication to craftsmanship and her passion for exploring the boundaries of artistic expression. Her vibrant and imaginative creations have garnered recognition and awards.
