WheatonArts :: WheatonArts Volunteers
WheatonArts Volunteers are unique individuals with a shared love of the arts, particularly American glass, craft and folk life. They have in common the desire for learning, and a shared interest in communicating with diverse audiences of students, artists and the general public.
Active volunteers are essential to the existence of WheatonArts and its educational programming. Each new volunteer brings his/her unique talents and life experiences to the team. Staff members and volunteers work together to broaden the scope of arts education
and to expand and enrich projects and public services.
Some volunteers choose to serve as museum greeters or docents,* glass studio narrators,crafts teachers and demonstrators, folklife assistants or clerical aides. Others offer their expertise to enhance our varied community outreach programs, facilitate special events and visitor services, provide help with children's educational programs, or lend assistance in the museum stores. In addition, seasonal help is always needed with fund raising, holiday decoration and gardening.
