WheatonArts is a national cultural treasure. Located on 65 wooded acres in southern New Jersey, WheatonArts is home to the Museum of American Glass, the Creative Glass Center of America International Fellowship Program, the largest folklife center in the Garden State, a hot glass studio, several traditional craft studios, five museum stores, a 13,000 sq. ft. Event Center and a beautiful pond-side picnic grove - a true Pineland Sanctuary!

In addition to daily glass blowing and artist demonstrations, WheatonArts features special exhibitions, programs, workshops, performances and several weekend festivals (including the award winning Festival of Fine Craft) throughout the year.

In January, February and March 2014
The Museum Stores are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Free to shop and stroll.

Due to new installations, the Museum of American Glass will be closed during these three months. It will be open during the Antiques Show on Feb. 1 and 2 and the Quilt Show on March 15 and 16.

The Artist's Studios will also be closed during these three months.

Our six-day operating schedule begins April 1, 2014.

April through December
Open Six Days: Tuesday through Sunday, 10am to 5pm

GENERAL ADMISSION
$10.00 Adults, $9.00 Senior Adults (62+), $7.00 Students, Children 5 and under are free.

Only service animals are allowed on the grounds.

FREE to Shop and Stroll! (except during special outdoor events)
  • Open Legal Holidays: Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day
  • Closed: Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. (We close at 3pm on Christmas Eve day)

DIRECTIONS

From North Jersey/New York City Metropolitan Area
(Approximately three hours from Manhattan)
Take NJ Turnpike South to Exit 4. Take Rt. 73 North to I-295 South. Stay on I-295 South. Follow signs to Rt. 42 South/Atlantic City. (Stay in middle lane when you see signs for Rt. 42) From Rt. 42 merge right onto Rt. 55 South to Exit 26. Go right at the top of the exit ramp. Make first left turn onto Wade Boulevard. WheatonArts entrance is a half-mile on the right.

From Philadelphia Metropolitan Area
Take the Walt Whitman Bridge or Ben Franklin Bridge following the signs to Rt.42/Atlantic City. Follow Rt. 42 South to Rt. 55 South to Exit 26. Follow directions from above.

From the Philadelphia Airport

Yellow Cab (856) 692-5555
Call first to arrange for pick-up.

Rapid Rover Shuttle (856) 428-1500. Dial 21 on courtesy phone in baggage claim area.

From Delaware and Areas South
Take I-95 North to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Follow signs for Atlantic City via Rt. 40 East. Stay on Rt. 40 East through the town of Elmer. Take Rt. 55 South (on right) to Exit 26. Follow directions from above.

From Rt. 206
Take Rt. 206 South to Rt. 54 South. At the intersection of Routes 54 and 40 go straight. Go left at the "Y" in the road onto Lincoln Ave., Route 655. Stay on Lincoln Ave. until it ends and then turn left onto Main Rd./Rt. 555 South. Follow the brown and white WheatonArts signs to Wade Blvd. Turn left. Travel 1/2 mile to the WheatonArts entrance on the right.

From Tuckerton, Toms River and Northern Coastal Areas Take the Garden State Parkway South to Exit 38A. Go west on the Atlantic City Expressway towards Philadelphia to Exit 12 (Atlantic City Racetrack). Take Rt. 40 West through the town of Mays Landing. At the intersection of Rt. 40 and Rt. 552 West, turn left. Stay on this road 15 miles following the signs to Millville. At the first traffic light in Millville, turn right onto Wade Boulevard. WheatonArts entrance is less than one mile on the left.

From Atlantic City Area
Take the Atlantic City Expressway West toward Philadelphia to Exit 12 (Atlantic City Racetrack). Take Rt. 40 West through the town of Mays Landing. At the intersection of Rt. 40 and Rt. 552 West, turn left. Stay on this road 15 miles following the signs to Millville. At the first traffic light in Millville, turn right onto Wade Boulevard. Follow directions from above.

From Wildwood and Cape May Area
Take Garden State Parkway North to Exit 20. Take Rt. 50 North to Tuckahoe, turn left on Rt. 49 West. Go approximately 15 miles to third traffic light in Millville. Turn right onto Wade Blvd. WheatonArts is approximately 1½ miles on the left.
