WheatonArts, a Private, Nonprofit 501(c)(3) Arts and Cultural Organization, Hosts a Variety of Fundraising Events to Support Public Programming and Special Projects
Events like our signature Festival of Fine Craft and our annual fall Golf Classic are not only important fundraisers, but they are a fun way for the community to get involved with WheatonArts.
Are you or your company looking to support a WheatonArts event?
Supporting a WheatonArts event will not only help us to achieve our mission – engaging artists and audiences in an evolving exploration of creativity – but it can be great exposure for a company looking to heighten community involvement. Find out more about supporting our events below.
During the first weekend in October, we host our annual Festival of Fine Craft. The juried Festival, a signature WheatonArts event, includes over 150 amazing artists, a children’s activity tent, a Beer & Wine Garden, and a variety of food vendors. We welcome over 10,000 visitors to our beautiful campus during the Festival. Named as “Top Ten Art Fairs and Festivals” by AmericanStyle Magazine and “Top 100 Event” by American Bus Association in recent years, the Festival is a favorite annual event for thousands of people from the Mid-Atlantic region.

Glass Weekend, a biennial international symposium and exhibition of contemporary glass art, draws nearly 5,000 people to WheatonArts over four days. For thirty years, this event has been a longstanding tradition for the world’s leading artists, collectors, galleries, and museum curators. The Creative Glass Center of America (CGCA), the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass, and WheatonArts host the event to fund Museum of American Glass exhibits and the CGCA residency Fellowship program.

Each fall art-minded golfers head out to the green to play for a good cause during the WheatonArts Golf Classic. Our annual Golf Classic not only raises money and awareness of the importance of arts programming, it’s a great networking and team building opportunity. All proceeds from our Annual Golf Classic benefit our Glasstown Collective initiative – three children’s programs designed to target at-risk local students. In order to meet your company’s needs, sponsorship levels vary.

Our CommUnity Days, three days of free fun for the whole family, are held throughout the year.
In partnership with the Cumberland County SPCA, PAWS for Art is held each April. During PAWS the whole family, even the dog, is invited to come and explore the campus. A dog show, dog-themed arts activities, and pet-specific vendors and presentation are all included in the PAWS event.
In partnership with the Cumberland County Improvement Authority, Eco Fair is held each May. A day to celebrate all things handmade, homegrown, and artful, Eco Fair is a community event that includes local artists, vendors, and special eco-friendly demonstrations and booths.
In partnership with Mystic Realms Theater Troupe, Hallo-Wheaton is a day of spooky (not scary) costume fun. Held each October, the event includes free trick-or-treating, performances, and other fun children’s activities at different locations throughout our campus.
