ignite! continues a time-honored tradition of championing the Glass Studio programs, including the Creative Glass Fellowship Program and Emanation residencies. This premier event is a day of exploration and discovery, experimentation, and fellowship.
ignite! will feature Richard Royal as our studio guest artist, as well as Emanation 2019 artists: Jesse Krimes, Tristin Lowe, Martha McDonald, and Laura Baird, Karyn Olivier, Richard Torchia, Allan Wexler, and Jo Yarrington. The exhibit, Emanation 2019, curated by Julie Courtney, will be a major highlight. Event programming on June 1 will include an artist panel, studio demonstrations, an onsite and online silent auction, museum tours, along with a special exhibit mounted in The Gallery of Fine Craft. Evening activities will consist of an Emanation 2019 Artist Reception and dinner, both catered by Feast Your Eyes. An evening dessert reception and artist demonstrations will also be available to registrants on May 31, 2019.
● Full registration: $200 includes all Studio Demonstrations, Exhibits, Performances, Artist Panels, Silent Auction, Friday’s Dessert Reception, and Saturday night’s Artist Reception and Dinner.

● Saturday Programs, Artist Cocktail Reception, and Dinner: $175
WheatonArts accepts checks and all major credit card payments for registration.
Proceeds from ignite! will support the Glass Studio Programs at WheatonArts, including the Creative Glass Fellowship Program and Emanation Residencies.
As ignite! is a fundraiser, membership benefits and discounts can not be applied to the Patron Program or ticket registration. You will be able to sign up to be a member or use your membership discount on-site at our Museum Stores.
Invitations will be mailed by April 15, 2019. Please register by May 20. The dessert reception and Saturday dinner are ticketed. No paper tickets will be supplied but you will receive a letter acknowledging your registration and a registration packet will be available when you arrive. Visit our website at wheatonarts.org/support/ignite for the full schedule of events and to print the registration form.
The tickets included in each Patron level include the individual purchasing the package. For example, if you are a Visionary you would be able to invite five guests. Patron tickets include the full event experience from May 31 to June 1. There are no tickets included with the Supporter level; tickets for the event would have to be purchased separately.
Your guests may enjoy the full event experience for ignite! Other benefits such as the curated gift basket (Champion, Visionary, and Leader levels) and the private glass studio session (Champion level) are only available to the person purchasing the Patron level.
No. Make-Your-Own Experiences can be purchased in addition to any registration or Patron level cost. Special guest artist David Graeber will be facilitating Make-Your-Own Paperweight experiences on Friday, May 31. Space is limited, please register in advance of May 20, 2019, for a seat.
Registration packets will be located in the Event Center. Someone will be at the front gate upon your arrival to direct you.
Summer casual dress is recommended for the entire event.
Yes, non-registered visitors may purchase a general admission ticket on June 1 ($10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $7 for students over 5). Day visitors are welcome to view the Museum, special demonstrations in the Glass Studio, Auction, Ceramics Studios, the Down Jersey Folklife Center, the School House, and Museum Stores.
Please note: The Museum doors will close temporarily from approximately 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for a performance by Martha McDonald and Laura Baird.
Registrants arriving early are welcome to visit the Silent Auction 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31. The silent auction items will be available for view Saturday, June 1 after the Artist Panel and Discussion. The auction will close at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019.
Yes, all buildings on WheatonArts’ campus are accessible for guests with disabilities. Accessible parking spaces are available on a first-come, first served basis in our main parking as well as at the rear of our Event Center, for use by vehicles with officially disabled state stickers, placards, or license plates.
