ignite! a WheatonGather continues a time-honored tradition of championing the Glass Studio programs, including the Creative Glass Fellowship Program and Emanation Residencies, with a focus on the creative spark that fuels artistic vitality. This premier event is a day of exploration, experimentation, and fellowship. Guest studio artist, Richard Royal, will be joined by Emanation 2019 artists Jesse Krimes, Tristin Lowe, Martha McDonald (with Laura Baird), Karyn Olivier, Richard Torchia, Allan Wexler, and Jo Yarrington. Event programming will include an artist panel moderated by Emanation 2019 curator Julie Courtney, studio demonstrations, an onsite and online Silent Auction, museum tours highlighted by the Emanation 2019 exhibit, and a special exhibit mounted in The Gallery of Fine Craft. Evening activities include a special Emanation 2019 Artist Reception and Fundraising Dinner, both catered by Feast Your Eyes. For a full list of ignite! programming, see “Schedule of Events” below.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
FRIDAY, MAY 31
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Make-Your-Own Glass Experiences – Guest artist David Graeber and WheatonArts studio artists will lead pre-registered guests in individual make-your-own experiences in paperweight making, glass blowing, and glass fusing. Spaces are limited.
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Silent Auction – Those arriving early are welcome to visit the Silent Auction, all proceeds of which will support the Glass Studio programming, including Creative Glass Fellowships and Invitational Artist Residencies.
6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Meet Artist Jo Yarrington – Jo Yarrington, a participating artist in the Emanation 2019 exhibit will be available to interact with guests at the School House, the site of her installation, “Uranium Game.”
7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dessert Reception and Artist Demonstrations – Join us in the Glass Studio for a Dessert Reception with special demonstrations by Emanation 2019 artists, Jesse Krimes and Jo Yarrington.
SATURDAY, JUNE 1
8:45 a.m. to 10 a.m. Registration and Refreshments in the Event Center
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Make-Your-Own Glass Experiences
10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Presentation by Guest Artist, Richard Royal
11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Emanation Artist Panel, moderated by Julie Courtney – Emanation 2019 Curator, Julie Courtney will moderate a panel exploring the work of participating artists, Jesse Krimes, Tristin Lowe, Martha McDonald and Laura Baird, Richard Torchia, Jo Yarrington, and Allan Wexler.
12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Free Time/Lunch on Own, food vendors will be on site.
1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Artist Demonstrations – Throughout the afternoon, special demonstrations will be presented by Richard Royal and Emanation 2019 artists Tristin Lowe, Richard Torchia, and Allan Wexler.
2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Performance by Martha McDonald and Laura Baird – Emanation 2019 artist Martha McDonald and composer, Laura Baird, will present an interdisciplinary performance with instruments of glass in the Museum of American Glass, the location of their installation. Seating will be limited.
4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Emanation 2019 Artists Cocktail Reception (catered by Feast Your Eyes)
6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dinner and Silent Auction (catered by Feast Your Eyes)
