Painting with Glass Marbles
Saturday, September 9
11 am to 3 pm
Suggested Ages: 3 and above
Marbles are for more than playing games. During this workshop, you will learn how to use marbles, paint, and gravity to create expressive, abstract paintings.

Percussion Pods
Saturday, October 14
11 am to 3 pm
Suggested Ages: 6 and above

Make your own musical instrument! Rattles are musical instruments, created out of clay or other materials, which have a hollow body. The hollow body contains small, loose beads of clay that make noise when shaken. In this workshop, we will use clay to make small percussive clay pods. A variety of surface treatment techniques will be demonstrated.

Clay Bowls: Slabs and Slumping
Saturday, November 11
11 am to 3 pm
Suggested Ages: 6 and above
Create your own miniature bowl, perfect for holding small trinkets. Participants will learn to roll clay slaps and slump them over a mold to create a bowl form.

Collographs
Saturday, December 9
11 am to 3 pm
Suggested Ages: 6 and above

In this workshop participants will learn the printmaking technique called collagraphy. Collographs are created by applying rigid materials (such as cardboard) to a surface. Printing ink will be applied to the resulting collage and pressed onto a sheet of paper. The resulting print is called a collagraph. We will be using cardboard, foam core board, and mat board.

Free January through March 2018

Baubles and Beads: Jewelry Design
Saturday, January 13
Saturday, January 27
11 am to 3 pm
Suggested Ages: 5 and above

Create your own bracelet or decorative keychain while being guided by our jewelry artists. An assortment of beads and findings will be available from which to choose.

Watercolor Resist Painting: DIY Valentines
Saturday, February 10

Create a very special valentine for those who are very special to you. We will use wax crayons and watercolors to create colorful compositions.

DIY Spinner Toy
Saturday, February 24
11 am to 3 pm
Suggested Ages: 4 and above

Create your own spinning toy! Participants will draw their designs on two circles which will then be pasted to a cardboard disc. The string will be threaded through, and then the toy is ready for play!

Cut Paper Collage
Saturday, March 10
11 am to 3 pm
Suggested Ages: 5 and above

Using assorted tissue paper, you will create a multi-layer collage. Because of the translucency of the tissue paper, the multiple layers will create a beautiful, dimensional collage.

Printmaking: Monoprints
Saturday, March 24
11 am to 3 pm
Suggested Ages: 3 and above

Create a monoprint using a Plexiglass plate. We will use acrylic paint and Q-tips to create compositions.
