Transformations & Reflections: Chinese Paper Arts

Banner, “Transformations and Reflections” exhibit in the Down Jersey Folklife Center from October 5 through December 30, 2018

This exhibition in the Down Jersey Folklife Center at WheatonArts features the paper cuts, paper cut collage works and an installation created by the internationally celebrated Chinese artist, Xin Song. Many of her paper cut collages, installations and public works are presented in both China and the US, including Beijing, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. Reflections on cultural heritage and the challenges of present-day life; the search for new answers to old questions and new understandings of old wisdom are all intertwined in Song’s creative exploration of cultural meanings, human values and universal connections.
