MILLVILLE, NJ –Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center kicks off the holiday season November 27 with a variety of special exhibits, promotions and programs for visitors of all ages.
Admission Discount Offer:
■ “Family Sundays” $20.00 Admission. Up to two adults and all children 17 and under. Through January 3, 2010.
Special Membership Promotions:
■ November 27 through December 31, 2009. Take $5.00 off a membership. Gift Memberships: 50 percent off.

■ November 27. Members receive an additional 10 percent off retail and consignment items in the museum stores. On November 28 and 29 members receive an additional 10 percent off retail items only.
Exhibits:
■ "The Handcrafted Gift" through December 31, 2009 in the Gallery of Fine Craft. Handcrafted ornaments, made with a variety of materials and techniques, metal wall sculptures, leather, stained glass, jewelry, pottery, and contemporary glass.
■ “Treasures From The Collection” and “Handmade Gift.” Museum of American Glass. Through January 3, 2010.
■ “Understanding Others: Philippine Traditional Arts and Culture” in the Down Jersey Folklife Center. Through
January 3, 2010.
Holiday Programs:
■ November 27. The Brownstone Emporium presents a Trunk Show by Gretchen Hulse, Crescent Moon Clothing (Moorestown, NJ) and Beaded Jewelry and Holiday Ornaments by Deborah DiMarco (Salem, NJ). Free admission to shop and stroll.
■ November 27, 28 and 29 – “Holiday Studio Sale: Glass and Pottery” in the Event Center. WheatonArts prototypes, seconds and overstocks, studio glass by Melanie and David Leppla, and a wide selection of pottery by WheatonArts artist, Terry Plasket, at discounts of 30 to 70 percent. Hours: November 27, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; November 28, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and November 29, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will receive a free gift with a purchase of $25.00 or more. Quantities are limited. Free admission to attend the Studio Sale only.
■ November 27 through December 16 - Ornament Design Competition designed for adults as well as children. All designs will be on display in the Glass Studio. Winning designs will be created on December 19. First prize is WheatonArts glass valued at $500; second prize WheatonArts glass valued at $300; third prize WheatonArts glass valued at $200; and runner up prizes. Each prize winner will receive their ornament.
■ November 27, 28, and 29 – “World’s Largest Ornament.” Artist Deborah Czeresko and her team will attempt once again to create the world’s largest glass ornament in the Glass Studio.
■ December 5 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and December 6 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) – “Holiday Studio Sale: Glass and Pottery” in the Event Center. General public receives 10 percent off owned and consigned items. Members receive 15 percent off owned and consigned items. Chocolate dipping in the General Store. Refreshments will be offered in all museum stores.
■ December 5. Introduction To Pysanka Workshop. 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Ages 12 and above. Fee: $18

WheatonArts is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., through January 3, 2010. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. It is free to shop and stroll. An admission ticket is required to visit the Museum of American Glass, Down Jersey Folklife Center, and artist demonstrations in the Glass, Ceramic and Woodcarving Studios. Adults $10.00, Senior Adults $9.00 and Students $7.00. Children five and under are free.
The museum stores will be open seven days a week from November 27 through December 31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The General Store, Christmas Shop, Arthur Gorham Paperweight Shop, The Gallery of Fine Craft and Brownstone Emporium offer an assortment of handcrafted gifts, personal service, a knowledgeable staff, free packaging, and member discounts.
