GALLERY OF FINE CRAFT EXHIBIT FEATURES RECYCLED, REPURPOSED AND SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS

MILLVILLE, NJ – The Gallery of Fine Craft at WheatonArts presents, ASmart Art,@ through July 6. This is an eco‑friendly exhibit with a focus on innovative designs in art created from recycled, repurposed and/or sustainable materials. The Gallery used repurposed and recycled materials to create the display space and it will also continue to reuse and recycle all packing material from shipments for the exhibit.

The exhibit features the following items:

Seashell Decorated Mirrors

Organic Graphite Writing Objects

Recycled and Repurposed Bamboo Chopstick Folding Bowls and Lamps

Recycled Newspaper Tote Bags, Lunch Bags and Accessories.

Handcrafted Pottery Kitchen Compost Crocks

Eco and Animal Friendly Cardboard Animal Head Wall Art

Recyclable Cardboard Children=s Playhouses

Handwoven Bamboo Scarves

Repurposed Color Pencil and Clock Key Jewelry

Recycled Juice Pack Handbags, Cell Phone Holders and Wallets

Clocks, Business Card Holders and Bottle Openers made from Recycled Bicycle Parts

Regenerated Leather Journals, Business Card Holders, Address Books, and Desk Accessories crafted in Italy

Tyvek Wallets and Luggage Tags made from Recycled Plastic Bottles

Recycled and Repurposed Bags made from Billboards

One-of-a-kind Scarves, Gloves and Hats crafted from Vintage Sweaters and T-Shirts

Jewelry made from Bottle Caps

Clocks crafted from Vintage 45 rpm Records

Metal Animal Sculptures for the Garden made from Reclaimed Farm Machinery

Handcrafted Eco-Friendly Shopping Bags made by Fair Trade in India

Wallets crafted from Recycled Plastic Bags

It is free to shop and stroll at WheatonArts except during outdoor special events. The Gallery of Fine Craft and the other WheatonArts museum stores are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WheatonArts is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. An admission ticket is required to visit the Museum of American Glass, Down Jersey Folklife Center, and the Ceramic, Glass, Flameworking and Woodcarving Studios.
