WHEATONARTS’ FAMILIES PARTICIPATE DAY - MAKE ART, MEMORIES AND FRIENDS

MILLVILLE, NJWheatonArts presents its first program of the spring season on April 5. “Families Participate Day” will bring kids, parents and grandparents together for a day of creative fun. A variety of hands-on workshops and open activities are scheduled throughout the day for children of all ages.

The workshops require registration and some age limits apply. They are: Tooled Leather, Ages 10 and up; Mosaic Birdhouses, Ages 10 and up; Soap Carving, Ages 8 and up; Jewelry Wire Work, Ages 12 and up; Door Knob Baskets, Ages 8 and up; Ukrainian Beadwork, Ages 10 and up; Fused Glass Tiles, Ages 8 and up; Polymer Clay Beads, Ages 6 and up; and Clay (ages to be determined).

The open activities do not require registration and they include: Blow A Glass Bubble, Ages 6 and up; Paint Ceramic Tiles, All Ages; Paint A Mural, All Ages; Design A Bandana, Ages 4 and up; Mobiles, All Ages; Patchwork Pots, Ages 5 and up; and Creativity Center, All Ages.

Space is limited. Registration begins at 9:45 a.m. No pre-registrations will be accepted. Workshops begin at 10:30 a.m. Open activities are offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. WheatonArts is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The program is included in the price of admission to WheatonArts. Admission: $10.00 Adults, $9.00 Senior Citizens, and $7.00 Students. Children five and under are free. Visitors also experience the Museum of American Glass, Down Jersey Folklife Center, artist studio demonstrations and museum stores. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.
