GLASSWEEKEND ‘05 AT WHEATON VILLAGE FEATURES INTERNATIONAL GALLERIES, ARTISTS, CURATORS AND COLLECTORS

MILLVILLE, NJ - The Creative Glass Center of America and the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass present, GlassWeekend ‘05, July 15, 16 and 17. Since 1985, GlassWeekend, a biennial event, has brought together the world’s leading artists, collectors, galleries, and museum curators for a three-day weekend of exhibitions, lectures, hands-on glassmaking, artists’ demonstrations, and social events. Guest demonstrating artists are Hank Murta Adams, NY, Shane Fero, NC, and José Chardiet, RI.

The proceeds of GlassWeekend benefit the Creative Glass Center of America Fellowship Program. The event's co-presenter, the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass, uses a portion of the proceeds to fund educational programs that further the development and appreciation of art made from glass.

Only those people who registered to attend the three-day event may participate in Friday’s hands-on opportunities and the Preview Reception that evening. The galleries in the Event Center are open to the general public on July 16 and 17.

Wheaton Village and the special demonstrations in the glass studio by guest artists are included with the price of admission: $10.00 Adults, $9.00 Senior Citizens, and $7.00 Students. There is an additional charge of $6.00 per person to visit the galleries. Children five and under are free. Gallery hours in the Exhibition Center: July 16, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
July 17, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
