Description:
WheatonArts is a non-profit arts organization whose mission is to engage artists and audiences in an evolving exploration of creativity. We have a part-time opportunity for a dynamic Marketing Assistant. The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting our marketing, communications and internal and external public relations efforts. The Marketing Assistant will focus on communicating what programs WheatonArts has to offer and promoting upcoming events and creative opportunities. This person will regularly manage and oversee the social media and online presence of WheatonArts and make updates on social media and the WheatonArts website.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts with regularly scheduled posts
  • Create content for and update the WheatonArts website
  • Advertise upcoming events on various local event calendars
  • Update CRM database and manage subscriber lists
  • Regularly research new event calendars and marketing strategies
  • Distribute marketing materials and represent WheatonArts
  • Other duties as assigned
 Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years pursuing a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, and/or Advertising
  • Intermediate experience using WordPress
  • Photoshop skills preferred
  • Experience with social media and social media marketing
  • Excellent oral and written communication
