Past Fellows
Sisir Sahana was born in 1965 in Bankura, West Bengal, India. He
studied B-Fine Arts, M-Fine Arts in Painting from Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan
in 1982-87-89. Advanced diploma in Stained Glass Painting from Central
St’ Martins College of Art and Design, London in 1993-94. Received
merit scholarship from Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan 1982-89. Commonwealth
scholarship nominated by Ministry of Human Resources & Development,
Department of Education, Government of India tenable in the United Kingdom,
1993-94. Junior Fellowship from Ministry of Human Resources &
Development, Dept. of Culture, Govt. of India 1992 & 1993. Invited
by the Creative Glass Center of America on a fellowship at Wheaton Village,
first in 2000 and again for 2004. Sisir has exhibited extensively in
India as well as internationally.
