Kanik Chung

Kanik Chung is a mixed-media sculptor and an avid basketball enthusiast, specializing in blown glass.  He is currently living and working at Urban Glass in Brooklyn, NY.  Chung has been teaching and blowing glass for nearly a decade.  He has taught at and attended Pilchuck Glass School, Penland School of Crafts, and Haystack Mountain School of Arts and Crafts.  He was an instructor at the California College of Arts and Crafts and Public Glass in San Francisco.  He has also been a teaching assistant at the Glass Furnace in Turkey and been a visiting artist in several colleges throughout the country.  Chung earned his Masters Degree in Glass from Ohio State University.  He has been in many exhibitions and publications, including New York Times Magazine and GLASSHAUS.
