Scott Benefield

Scott Benefield received his MFA in glass from Ohio State University in 1990, following a year spent in Sweden on a Fulbright-Hays grant to study glass design with Ann Wolff. He was co-founder and first Educational Director of the New Orleans School of GlassWorks and formerly a partner in Studio Inferno, a production studio in New Orleans.

In 1996 he started Isola Glass on Camano Island, Washington, where he produces an annual line of art glass that is sold throughout the United States. He is currently the President of the Glass Art Society and editor of the GAS News.
