JUDGING
This year’s show entries are being judged by Mary Zesiger, an NQA certified judge who is also a teacher, lecturer and award winning quilter.
Mary's tireless nature, artistic eye and attention to detail are not only evident in every piece she creates - but to her delight, find new life in the work of her pupils.
Since 1988, she has taught hundreds of quilters at all skill levels, and was awarded her NQA Teaching Certification in 1991.
Mary has truly stitched her place as a well respected member of the quilting community.
Why do we have our quilt show judged?
• It establishes recognition for quality work
• It sets standards and goals for all to strive for
• It provides quilters with an evaluation of their work
Quilts, quilted items and garments are judged on visual impact, color, design, quilting, workmanship and finishing of the piece.
Anyone may enter a quilt either to be judged or for display only. All sizes and techniques are welcome.
Children up to sixteen years of age are encouraged to enter quilts in the Junior Division. This popular exhibit show-cases the creativity and clever workmanship of a talented future generation of quilters.
